Summer Fastpitch

Fastpitch is how softball is played at junior high, high school and college levels. No experience is necessary. Learn the fundamentals of the game in a casual environment and create memories that last a lifetime. Hopkins Fastpitch is offering four programs this summer (see below). Join your friends and register today!

Scholarships are available on an as needed basis. Please read the scholarship policy and complete this form to request a scholarship.

We recommend all players have their own fielding glove at all levels.

To determine the appropriate age level your daughter should play at, please use the 2026 Age Eligibility Calculator .

Equipment Needed (players 8U and up):
-Fielders Mask
-Batting Helmet with Face Mask
-Cleats (rubber only, 14U/16U may use metal cleats)
-Fielding Glove

Optional Equipment:
-Batting Glove
-Bat (must be stamped with the ASA or USA softball logo)
-Gear Bag
-Softball Belt

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN FOR SUMMER 2026.

T Ball / Coach PItch

An introduction to softball where fun is the top priority. Players are taught the fundamentals of the game through a gradual advancement of softball skills. Details include:

Girls in Pre-K through 1st Grade.
Practice begins in late April with games May and June.
Approximately 1 practice and 1 game per week, typically on Monday and Wednesday nights in the west metro.
$125 registration fee (jersey included).

Machine Pitch (8U)

Girls continue to advance their softball skills through practice and game settings. The goal is to get kids playing short games while learning proper gameplay and enjoying the sport. Details include:

Available for girls born 9/1/2016-8/31/2018.
Practice begins in mid-April.
Games played on Wednesday nights in the Metro beginning April 29th.
Teams will practice 1-2 times per week, in addition to games.
Teams will participate in the Royal Rampage Tournament June 13th, and a State Tournament on June 27-28th, 2026.
$250 registration cost (jersey included, pants extra).

Big West League (Kid Pitch)

Competitive fastpitch league with weekend tournament opportunities. Hopkins Fastpitch forms teams at the following levels: 10U, 12U, 14U, and 16U levels provided there are enough participants. Details include:

10U (for girls born 9/1/14 - 8/31/16) – $445 includes jersey.
- Games start week of April 27th, and are played on Tuesdays and Thursdays. (Thursday games don't start until June)
- 1-2 practices per week.
- Up to 3 weekend tournaments, plus Qualifiers (6/26/26 - 6/28/26), and State (7/10/26 - 7/12/26).
- Teams may qualify for a national tournament which would incur a small additional cost.
‍12U (for girls born 9/1/12 - 8/31/14) – $495 includes jersey.
- Games start the week of April 27, 2026.
- 2 game nights/week in the West Metro on Mondays and Wednesdays, plus 1-2 practices per week.
- Up to 3 weekend tournaments, plus Qualifiers (6/26/26 - 6/28/26), and State (7/10/26 - 7/12/26).
- Teams may qualify for a national tournament which would incur a small additional cost.
‍14U and 16U
- We are currently accepting registrations and evaluating registration numbers to field teams at the 14U and 16U levels in 2026.
- If you are interested in playing, we will work with neighboring associations to provide you with an opportunity to play.
- You may register at not cost, and we can communicate with you about these opportunities.
Evaluation Days
- February 14-15, 2026, TIME TBD: required for all 10U and 12U players.
- February 14-15, 2026, TIME TBD: pitcher and catcher evaluations for 10U and 12U players.
Hopkins Royal Rampage Tournament
- 8U Royal Rampage: June 13th, 2026.
- 10U/12U Royal Rampage: May 30-31, 2026.
- All families are required to volunteer at the Royal Rampage Tournament.
- A $300 deposit check per player will be collected on evaluation days. This will be returned if you fulfill your volunteer obligations for the Royal Rampage Tournament.
