Scott Allen Celebration of Life Service

IN MEMORY OF SCOTT ALLEN

Our hearts were broken this week to learn of the passing of Scott Allen. Scott served many roles for Hopkins Fastpitch over the years, but the most important of those was dear friend. Scott will be greatly missed by the Hopkins Softball community, and words can not express that loss. We will cherish the memories of our times together. Our thoughts and prayers are with Julie, Cassidy, and Hailey at this difficult time.

We will be holding a Celebration of Life service for Scott Andrew Allen on Friday, January 22nd at 5:30pm. Due to Covid restrictions the service will be limited to family and invited guests but it can be viewed on live-stream through the link below:

Share your Light with his Family:

The extended community and friends are invited to join in our illumination of light for Julie, Cassidy, and Hailey. Scott’s last worship at Gethsemane was on Christmas Eve where he helped set out one of his favorite things, Christmas luminaries all around our church. We would like to invite anyone in the community to join in a procession of light and stand along the road as human luminaries as his family returns home at the conclusion of the service. Since everyone can not be in the service, this is one way you can share your light and love with them in person.

If you wish to participate, please arrive at Gethsemane at 5:45pm, park in our east lot, or at Alice Smith School next door, and attendants will hand out candles and direct you to spread out along Gethsemane Rd and Minnetonka Mills Rd as far as we can reach.
