A few logistical items to note:
What do we need to bring?
Players should bring their glove, bat, and helmet. We will also have bats and helmets available for use.
I have a lot of old equipment, jerseys, and spirit wear that no longer fits my daughter, what should I do with all this stuff?
If it is in good condition, drop it off in our bin at Evaluation Day. We will organize it and either give it away at Opening Day or sell it for a very low price to other players. Any money raised from donated goods will directly go to Hopkins Fastpitch. Thanks for your support.
What should we do when we get there?
Players should check in and receive their number. They should then stop at the uniform table to confirm their uniform sizes (unless they have chosen to reuse their jersey or pants), and then head into the gym to warm up.
Do parents need to stay?
Yes! There will be a parent meeting in N206 which is just inside the NW entrance of the Lindbergh center. Please remember parents are not allowed in the gym during evaluations. Gym access is limited to players, evaluators, and board members. To ensure a fair environment, board members are not allowed in the gym when their daughter’s age group is evaluated.
What is this I hear about birth certificates?
Birth certificates can be requested by tournament directors at tournaments that we play in. Therefore, we need to scan a copy of a birth certificate for all players. If you bring your daughter’s birth certificate with you to Evaluation Day, we can scan it for you.
If your daughter played Hopkins Fastpitch (10U-16U) in a previous season, we probably have her birth certificate on file. We DO need birth certificates from players new to Hopkins Fastpitch and first year 10U players.
