1) M. Peterson started the meeting with opening remarks.
2) Secretary’s minutes were approved as written.
3) Treasurer’s report was approved. Sod fund to date has received approximately 13 donations totaling $1,800
ACTION: R. Rivett to verify we paid DePaul lettering for spring uniform printing.
4) M. Peterson discussed Fall Ball Registration. Looks like we’ll have the following teams: 1-10U, 2-12U, 1-14U, 1-16U, and 1-18U
5) Winter Gym was discussed. Have the permits for mid October through mid April. Discussion was held whether there was enough interest in offering dome ball as part of winter gym at the 16/18U age level. T. Moynihan made a motion to draft a survey to sample interest at the 14-18U age levels. Tim to draft survey and Dean to post on website.
ACTION: Need to verify batting cage is up and lights working on the stage.
ACTION: M. Peterson to talk to Stan, Tim, Jen, and Chantelle about staffing winter gym.
ACTION: T. Moynihan to draft dome ball survey and have Dean post on website.
ACTION: T. Moynihan and J. Thibault to investigate reality of getting into a dome ball league.
6) Discussed several fundraising options for the organization. Possibilities include offering clinics to outstate/outlying areas, hosting dome ball league.
7) Discussed open board positions. J. Clark has submitted his resignation. F. Ricco to resign as well as T. Moynihan to resign in October. T. Moynihan nominated R. Rivett for treasurer. It was seconded and approved by board vote. Congratulations to R. Rivett
ACTION: D. Meyer to post open positions on the web site.
ACTION: T. Undis to breakout possible job responsibilities for open positions while other members to write up each board member’s responsibility.
ACTION: M. Peterson will be acting equipment manager until position filled.
8) Year-end banquet scheduled for October 4 at the Hopkins VFW.
9) Discussed High School softball field construction status. They have graded 2 fields but not the varsity, testing the sprinklers, benches are in, post work done on the dugout, and putting the fences in.
10) New Business – T. Undis is still waiting for D. Johnson to have the electrical and water marked at West Junior High so batting cages can be put in.
11) Meeting adjourned at 9:52 p.m.
