About our Recreation League

Our Recreation League program provides an opportunity for girls to play for the fun of the game, enjoying a less demanding schedule than our Travel program, and emphasizing the recreational and social aspects of the sport

Teams are formed by division (I thru V), and team placements are made after Evaluation Day in the spring. Recreation League teams play a game schedule with surrounding communities’ softball leagues at our fields and theirs. Other participating communities are Plymouth/Wayzata, St. Louis Park and Orono. The season begins approximately mid-April, and ends before the end of June for girls in grades K-3 or mid-July for girls in grades 4-12. There are normally two game nights per week There are generally no weekend games, except for a season-ending tournament.
