The Hopkins Royals are community based traveling fastpitch softball teams, based in Hopkins, MN. Our teams are composed of players primarily from the Hopkins School District, which includes Hopkins, and portions of Minnetonka, Golden Valley, Edina, St. Louis Park, Plymouth and Eden Prairie. We typically field teams in all age groups, from 10U through 18U, for both summer and fall seasons.     2008 Summer Rosters

Eric Gober has accepted the position of Facilities Director. We thank Eric for taking on this very important position which schedules all the fields, arranges for umpires, and arranges for our field preparations.

This summer Anne Campbell (Hopkins High School Softball Coach) and Nat Wagner will hold 3 Fastpitch camps at Hopkins High School. Fundamental skills camps will run on June 9-13 and June 16-20. Progressive Specialty Clinics will be held June 23-27. Two hour sessions for 10U-12U from 8-10am, and 14U-16U from 10-Noon.

Brett Nybo has announced his resignation from the Hopkins Fastpitch Board of Directors. Brett has served as the Player Representative for the past several years. We would like to thank Brett for his contributions to our program.

For the second year in a row, the 2006-2007 Hopkins High School Fastpitch team claimed the top GPA among non-weighted high schools, boosting its average to a remarkable 3.934!

Hopkins Fastpitch currently has many opportunities for individuals to make a difference in the Fastpitch experience for our daughters. Some members of our board of directors are moving on to other opportunities, or their daughters are moving on to higher education endeavors. They are making room for new people to help improve the organization. We would like to thank these individuals for all of their hard work and long hours over the past years. The only way our group can continue to grow is for people to bring in new ideas and high energy.

  • Field Assignments - Meet with coaches, and assign fields for league games

  • Umpire Coordinator - Meet with coaches, and contact the UIC to arrange for umpires for league games
  • Field Maintenance - Work with the field crew to prepare the fields for games
  • Tournament Organization - With our new fields, we are able to run tournaments

Has your daughter outgrown her softball equipment?

Does she have equipment she no longer uses or needs?

Hopkins Fastpitch can use your old softball equipment!

Like many youth sports, softball can get expensive. Not having to buy that new piece of equipment can make it easier for many families. Your donated equipment can find new use with another girl in Hopkins Fastpitch. Your old equipment may also be used to support our teams.

We would be happy to accept:

• Helmets
• Bats
• Softballs (11" or 12")
• Cleats
• Uniforms
• Batting tees and other practice or teaching equipment

The board approved policy is to limit participation to those who have paid all their fees, both past and current. This will mean that any future clinics or seasons (including Winter Gym) will be unavailable to players until their past fees have been paid. If there are financial hardships, contact to discuss scholarship possibilities, preferably in advance of the event.

The Board of Directors is seeking comments from participants and parents in our programs. If you would like to share your comments and suggestions for improving the organization please visit our Feedback Page and fill out the form. This can be an anonymous submission if you like. ALL comments will be forwarded to each board member.

Hopkins Fastpitch is primarily a volunteer organization. We encourage the parents to get involved in the coming summer or fall season. Ask your coach or team manager how you can help the organization this season. The more parental help we get all year long, the better the softball experience will be for our daughters.
