Hopkins Fastpitch is a community based
fastpitch softball organization, based in Hopkins, MN. Our teams are composed
of players primarily from the Hopkins School District, which includes Hopkins, and
portions of Minnetonka, Golden Valley, Edina, St. Louis Park, Plymouth and Eden Prairie.
Hopkins Fastpitch has both a Recreation and a Travel program. We field Recreation teams for girls ages 6 to 18 (Division 1 thru 5) in the Summer, and Travel teams for girls ages 7 to 16 (10U through 16U), for both summer and fall seasons.. |
There will be a make-up day for 12U Travel on Thursday, March 11 at the Hopkins West Junior High Structures at 6 p.m. West Junior High is located at 3830 Baker Road in Minnetonka.
Players should bring a glove and wear gym shoes. They may also bring their own bat, although additional bats will be available. Note that travel players without uniforms from last year may be fitted for uniforms on evaluation day.
There is still time to register for play this year, although late registrations may be subject to some league discretion in terms of player placement.
It's time once again to sign up for another exciting summer of Hopkins Fastpitch. Click here for more information and the registration form.
The Royal Rampage has bees set for June 4 - 6, 2010. Additional information can be found on the Royal Rampage home page. We look forward to another very successful tournament in 2010.
Wayne Hanson has accepted the position as Webmaster for Hopkins Fastpitch. Wayne will be leading the transition from the current version to a more updated look with many additional features such as those used by other Hopkins youth sports organizations. Welcome to the board, Wayne. The new look of the web site is expected by the middle of March. Jim Feldman will continue to maintain the current web site until the conversion is complete. We thank Jim for his contributions.
The National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced that Hopkins High School achieved the top GPA in the nation with a 3.812. This is the third time in the past four years that the Hopkins Fastpitch team has earned that distinction. In the past ten years, the team has finished no worse than seventh. Way to go Royals!
Hopkins Fastpitch has many opportunities for individuals to make a difference in the Fastpitch experience for our daughters. Hopkins Fastpitch is primarily a volunteer organization. We encourage the parents to get involved in the coming summer or fall season. Ask your coach or team manager how you can help the organization this season. The more parental help we get all year long, the better the softball experience will be for our daughters. The only way our group can continue to grow is for people to bring in new ideas and high energy.
If you are interested in helping the organization, please contact or
