About Hopkins Fastpitch
Hopkins Fastpitch consists of community based traveling fastpitch softball teams and an "In-House" League, based in Hopkins, MN. Our teams are composed of players primarily from the Hopkins School District, which includes Hopkins, and portions of Minnetonka, Golden Valley, Edina, St. Louis Park, Plymouth and Eden Prairie. We field Recreation teams for girls ages 6 to 18 (Division 1 thru 5) in the Sumer, and Travel teams for girls ages 7 to 16 (10U through 16U), for both summer and fall seasons.
Hopkins Fastpitch is incorporated in the State of Minnesota as a Non-Profit Corporation under Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 317A, and organized under the United States Internal Revenue Code, Section 501(c)(3).
Contributions to the organization may be considered tax deductible. ALL contributions to Hopkins Fastpitch are used for improving the facilities, instruction and experiences of our teams and players
Hopkins Fastpitch offers year round opportunities in softball. In the summer, our travel teams participate in the Twin Cities Suburban League, which covers all of the west metro and a large portion of both the north and south metro areas. In addition, each team typically plays in 4 or 5 weekend tournament each summer.
The League teams play against other teams in the league, and similar teams from Plymouth, Wayzata, Orono and St. Louis Park. These teams play Mid-May thru early July, along with an end of season tournament.
In the fall, we form travel teams for the Minnesota Metro Fastpitch (MMFL) Fall League. This season extends for 4-5 weeks including a state tournament and qualifier. During the season, each team plays two games on Sunday afternoons. The fall level is a great way for girls to get a taste of travel ball.
During our long winter season we offer a Sunday afternoon clinic at Eisenhower Community Center and Alice Smith Elementary. We offer instruction on throwing, fielding, pitching and batting in our batting cage.
Teams are selected each spring. Check out our Travel Team Selection Process for additional details.

In the past it has been, and will continue to be, the organization's policy to ensure girls, in District 270, have the opportunity to play travelling fastpitch. To accomplish this policy, we offer scholarships on an as needed basis to families of girls who wish to play.
If you feel that a scholarship would be a factor in allowing a girl to play, please contact Ted Hathaway to discuss the issue.
Hopkins Sports is a not for profit 501(c)(3) organization. Contributions toward the scholarship fund, or other purposes should be considered charitable donations for tax purposes.
Hopkins Sports is a family oriented, community based organization committed to excellence in the development of athletes and coaches of the fastpitch programs in the Hopkins School District.
Excellence in fastpitch softball requires that athletes and coaches be supported so they may reach their fullest potential.
Excellence in fastpitch softball also requires that all participants, (players, coaches and parents), understand the "TEAM" concept and foster an understanding of teamwork, where team members recognize their interdependency and strive for mutual trust and respect.
