Short-handed Warriors clash with Clinton Massie!

On a day where Mirror Image had almost half of their team missing along with their Head coach AND assistant coach, "give up" was not part of the young player's vocabulary.  Eight players and no coaches, that's what the Pink Warriors had to face before even taking the field on Sunday for their battle against another strong Clinton Massie team.  Playing short-handed, all 8 players played valiantly for the entire game and kept fighting till the end.  Ireland Baker's father and Maddie Bowling's father admirably stepped up to help coach the Pink warriors in the coach's absence.  They did a fantastic job creating a game plan on the fly and keeping the young players on focus.

The adversity the Pink Warriors faced made them play more as a cohesive unit than before and tried to defy the odds of being on the winning end of a short-handed match.  Being hit with a 2-0 deficit early on, the Pink Warriors dug their cleats in and declared war.  Lizzy Allen came on strong with a goal (2nd of the season) and the comeback was on.  The Warriors fought till the very end, but on this day the Pink Warriors ran out of time to make their mighty comeback as they they fall 2-1.
Score: 2-1
Record: 3-3
